Caring Transitions of Southwest Pittsburgh Uses CTBIDS to Set Up Online Auctions in Pittsburgh, PA and the Surrounding Areas

Organize an innovative online estate sale in Pittsburgh, PA and the surrounding areas

Estate sales are one of the most efficient and effective ways to liquidate an estate, but they come with a variety of challenges. In-person estate sales can be complicated, time consuming, and expensive to organize. Caring Transitions provides compassionate and comprehensive estate sale services to help families organize estate sales, but we also recognized that we needed another option for families who did not have the time or resources to manage an in-person estate sale. We then designed CTBIDS, a unique platform for online auctions.

Using CTBIDS

First, our team will conduct a free, no-obligation consultation. Our team of experts will help assess your items, take photographs and stage the items for the sale. We will then help you upload these items to CTBIDS. Once these items are uploaded, you can sit back and watch these items sell without the need to host an in-person estate sale.

How Does CTBIDS Work?

CTBIDS offers an expansive variety of pricing options to allow you to sell your items in a manner that works best for you. The platform is customizable and unique to help make your online estate sale as smooth as possible.

The pricing options are as follows:

  • Auction: During a traditional auction, you will set a minimum price and watch the bidders compete for it until the item is sold to the highest bidder.
  • Fixed Price: If you want to forgo the bidding process, you can set a fixed price for your item and it will be sold to the first buyer.
  • Classified Ad: You can advertise your items on a classified ad that will showcase the item’s image, description, price and shipping cost. Once the item sells, the ad will be taken down.
  • Buy Now: All fixed price items are Buy Now items. This allows buyers to purchase the item instantly at a fixed, non-negotiable price.
  • Reserve: If you are interested in the bidding process but do not want to let go of an item until it meets a certain price, you can use reserve pricing. Reserve pricing allows you to set a hidden minimum price that bidders can not see. If the minimum price is not met at the end of the auction, you can restart the auction or consider the highest bidder's offer.
